If you take computer security with regard, you may want to epoxy the firewire connections on your windows boxes closed. Apparently, there is a nice little hack available running linux on another computer computer and hooking up to a windows box, yes your password can easily be bypassed, Apparently it has been shown to work on Apple boxes too, so it looks as if it is a memory access problem with firewire's code.

Also, here is a very good video on net neutrality, I would suggest everyone watch it and understand what will happen if corporations are allowed to own the net.

I almost forgot, the new macbook arrived and it is gorgeous! I have been running the heavy lift apps on it, and it hasn't even shuddered.

New mbp shipped yesterday, it will be nice to be able to take my computer with me to clients and show them what I can do, plus I will no longer be tethered to a desk which will be really cool. The old laptop I was using just didn't have the oomph to push some of the higher end apps I use, now, that is no longer a problem. Should be here by the 28th at the latest

looks like the updates have finally started to slowly roll out, the ilife 08 came out today after only a 2 year wait, and the new imacs also showed up. Let's hope the update the damn towers soon...
